It is a single square wave oscillator that changes in pitch depending on the intensity of light exposed to it.
There is an additional LFO (low frequency oscillator) that can be switched on or off to modulate the primary oscillator.
The LFO is a Sawtooth wave that can create tremolo effects while oscillating at a higher speed. There is a speed knob to control its frequency.
There is also an additional CV (control input) 1/4" jack so you can use this with your other analog synthesizer outputs!
Outputs to both stereo headphones and your amplifiers. These GEMs get LOUD.

I would not touch this stuff with a 10 foot pole, since this company was affiliate with Health Club Music, and that company perpetuates FRAUD by stealing people's money for custom made work. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
ReplyDeleteHi Tom, this is Magic Echo Music. Please contact Health Club Music to express your dissatisfaction with your experience with them. I was half of HCM 2 years ago and can speak for myself that I did not perpetuate any sort of fraud. I left Health Club Music for personal and professional reasons, and that was before any sort of custom work I was involved with was left unfinished. Whatever your dissatisfaction is is quite beyond my control actually, and can't find much value to your comment here. I would gladly take consideration of your comments if it was related to my actual work, or Magic Echo Music, or the theremin, but not something that my past co-worker has perpetuated. I'd also like to add that MatrixSynth added information that links me to Health Club Music because they wanted to include a frame of reference, not to affliate MEM with the current state of Health Club Music. (At least that's my take on it, you'd have to ask them as they wrote up the post).
