"This is a two-part overview of Phosphor, a modern re-make of the alphaSyntauri digital synth of the early 80s. The first part shows a simple track with four Phosphor instances, and the second part takes a quick tour of the UI and shows how to quickly program a sound."

Update: video re-uploaded.

  1. Nice toy, but Ableton Operator owners can hop over this one. Operator has the wonderful looping feature and multiple operators/osc with various routing schemes. Operator has several more modulation destinations as well an an envelope for the LFO. Operator has the Time parameter to instantly alter lengths on all osc envelopes. etc. etc.

  2. I got this and I love it. It has limitations, but it's different from the gagillion other synths out there and using it is about as easy as falling off a log. Limitations inspire creativity anyway, as does uniqueness.
