The Synare Sensor can be mounted to the rim of a drum and a tone is triggered by the vibration of a hit. the sensitivity can be adjusted to that it can be played by hand as well. the range of sounds from this little box is wonderful... from deep electro bass drum to high metallic Devo style percussion. the Synare Sensor runs on one 9v battery (not included)"
