Note the glossy surface. Anyone know more about that?

  1. "The only thing cosmetically wrong with it is that the upper 1/3 of the panels' face has been polished and wet-sanded with a fine grit auto finishing sandpaper (how car restorers polish cars). So the "Roland", "Rhythm Composer" and "TR-909" logos and words have been polished away too. This is due to a sharpie signature from an 80's artist that had to be removed (I got it like that). The cleanest way to remove the 20+ year old set-in signature was by polishing her off. No over the counter stain, paint or marker remover worked well. Wet-polishing proved to be the cleanest way to remove the signature"
