  1. This video uses the terms "cadence" and "parallel" in ways that I find unfamiliar. I am guessing that this usage comes from the author's first language not being English.

    I suggest that whenever you hear "cadence" you think "chord progression" and whenever you hear "parallel" you think "relative minor." I am accustomed to using "cadence" to refer specifically to a V-I chord progression and "parallel" to refer to the simultaneous movement of two or more voices by the same number of scale degrees.
