Anyone know if the MAX has a velocity sensitive keyboard? If so, this is the one to get if you have a MIDI controller like an iPad. The MAX, Six-Trak, and Multi-Trak have the same synth engine. The Six-Trak does not have a velocity sensitive keyboard. The Multi-Trak does, but it doesn't work with editors from what I understand. It's unfortunate if you want to have both an editor and velocity sensitivity at the same time. Especially with the filter. With the Multi-Trak, you can can some expressive and delicate sounds going with velocity that you simply can't do with the Six-Trak, unless you use an external keyboard with velocity of course. The filter and resonance on these play nicely with velocity sensitivity. The Multi-Trak is editable via the front panel and isn't too bad actually - you select a parameter clearly printed on the synth and turn the knob. But you can't use an iPad for editing multiple parameters at the same time - thing x/y pads, multiple sliders and so on.
