Ableton Tutorial - Slice To Midi (EDM pt. 1 & 2)
YouTube Uploaded by pointblankonline on Jun 2, 2011
"http://www.pointblankonline.net/electronic-dance-music-edm-on-ableton-live.php In this tutorial Mike Koglin (Anjunabeats, NOYS) demonstrates how to take a sample pack drum loop and turn it into something unique using the slice to mid function in Ableton Live. Once the sliced midi parts are re-arranged he adds further interest by panning each slice around the stereo spectrum and adding effects to the individual midi parts. A simple but very effective technique with limitless possibilities!
The tutorial is the first in a series of exclusive samples taken from our Electronic Dance Music Pro Producer course which focuses on producing progressive and trance styles in Ableton Live.
