  1. $300.75 USD/249,00 € is a bit steep for samples... but I'm sure some will buy it at that price. I like it but was disappointed when I found out the speak & spell/T.I. Translator voices were just samples and you can't program in your own words. I was gladly going to pay full price until I found that out. LOL But for that price, if you can find one, you can buy the T.I. translator.

  2. I downloaded the demo version - after 30 minutes I gave up. Much too complicate. If the demo represents the full version you better try the demo first before buying. The screen is too small - max 60% of a 21" monitor. Asio installation was very troublesome - maybe this
    needs some improvements

  3. One more thing after going through all the preset videos: Many of the famous Duesseldorf
electronic music sounds everybody with some
advanced equipment & knowledge easily can reproduce. It is not about this - it is about the whole concept behind this guys from Duesseldorf & this is already much more difficult to re-produce or to copy or maybe even impossible nowadays !

  4. sorry KMB, i really don't agree, downloaded the Synth-Werk demo today and was impressed from the sounds (although there are not many included...about 20 i think) - the interface looks very cool and is absolute easy to use for me...on my Mac in Logic the AU works without problems...but you are right with the installation...this was a little bit tricky...but this software is the first really offers new and fresh sounds never heard before in any other synth...if you are a Kraftwerk-fan...i never felt more like Ralf or Florian when playing it ;-)

  5. The TI Translator was available in 4 different languages in the 1970s, today it's very hard to find it on ebay and if you get one, every modul and the unit is more than 100 bucks, so it's much cheaper to buy this software, but i don't know what they have done to get out words like "synth" and "werk" from it ?? The Translator or a speak&spell can't say these words?
But no matter...i think Synth-werk wants primarily to be a synthesizer, not a robot voice creator, don't you agree UniQue Werkx?

  6. I’ve played with the demo for a week or so and I’m impressed with some of the samples and sound. There is a lot of depth to the program and it will take some time and large learning curve to get the best out of it especially in advance mode. Sounds are a big plus and very complex structures can be built. But for 249 smackers their are some major negatives that really should be sorted. Installation was not straight forward. The sample engine seems a little flaky to other sample engines like NI’s Kontakt. It has crashed on me many a times. I can only add layers with different sound by working backwards (maybe me) by filling from layer 4 (or whatever) downwards to 1. Just seems a little backward way of working. The easy edited page at times takes a few goes before it kicks in. Then I don’t seem to be able to get back to editing any layers. There is no facility to add your own samples to the ‘speak&spell’ makes it rather limiting that it’s rather redundant. Overall, if it cost 125 Euros then I’d be tempted. At 250 Euros there are for me too many negatives to justify the price. There are better things to buy only if you really want to sound like Kraftwerk.

  7. i also tried the demo, but i can't reproduce the problems you're talking about? I found another impression about the full product, not alone for the demo here...

  8. @ nPoliticsF & KMB
Did you ever contact support@bestservice.de about your problems? You should do - It really works fine!
    @ all
You are right: SYNTH-WERK is not a speak&spell or TI translator emulation. It offers just some nice samples from those among almost 2000 fantastic multi samples :-)

  9. Ok, ok I don't have the money to purchase all the Modular Analog Synths to sound like Kraftwerk and don't have the mind and the heart from Kraftwerk musician, but with this tool i'm very happy with a low cost tool and nice sounds! Thank you!
