
"So here it is – EVOLVOR, the app that links cubes to LFOs, and when you put the cubes together the associated LFOs will interact to create 4 continously changing signals which can be sent as MIDI CCs to any synth or effect, hardware or software. By changing the placement of cubes and number of cubes in the cube network, you can influence the resulting MIDI CC signals.
You can also change the speed of the LFOs, from very slow to really fast, almost like a real oscillator, but outputting MIDI CC messages. The LFOs are looped by default. I’ve recorded two examples. In these examples we use two presets in Ableton Live 8, called Ambient-Ambiente and Ambient-Atmophasic.
EVOLVOR outputs MIDI CCs 14, 15, 16 and 17 by default, and you can see how I’ve mapped these to the knobs of the synth rack in Ableton Live below."
