Two super nice shots via TRASH_AUDIO. Click on them for the super sized pics. Note the post on TA covers all TA members including Surachai, Justin, Richard Devine, and Alessandro Cortini, so be sure to see it for more.
Richard gets the focus here as he has also just announced his upcoming EP RiSP. Promo vid below.
Update: I should note Surachai's To No Avail was released on October 25 as well. Check it out here.
On the pics:
"Loving the new Dave Smith’s Tempest drum machine. Its gotten a lot of use over the last month. The more I play with this box the more addicting it gets. The two pressure and position sensitive note FX slide controllers permit real-time recording of note or beat-wide sound parameter changes into the drum pattern as you play. Its really fun to record simultaneous filter frequency, tuning, envelope decay, and pan changes for each note. Very expressive and a lot of interesting things happen accidentally with this setup."

"Another piece of hardwired (Eurorack) module that I have been testing but having loads of fun with is the new 4ms Pingable Envelope Generator (PEG). Its a dual envelope generator whose envelope lengths are set by incoming clocks or “pings”.You have full CV control of envelope shape, skew, and ping (clock) division/multiplication, as well as a wide variety of triggering and cycling options (AD, AR, quantization, cycle), and tap tempo for each channel. There is so many cool things that can be done with this module, everything from generating strange new LFO, envelope shapes to self modulating chaotic skittering sounds."
