this is a one off offer. i will absolutely not have any of these available to the public with exception to this auction. this is probally an anomaly among circuit bent instruments being something you never see circuit bent while being a very capable multi-timbral synthesizer with a deep synthesis archeticture.

i'm not really sure how to describe this bend as it does alot of typical circuit bend sounds but the sound of these bends tend to incorporate alot of the bent sound with the inner working of the machine manifesting as noise and sound along with the output. every point available to circuit bend has been brought to surface on an interface that will be very easy and intuitive. this allows a very quick dial up to very intricate circuit bends in no time. a visually logical yet sparse interface keep things simple for the user.

one advantage to the bends is that it is extremely stable. i have managed to dial up complex bends that can lock up the sound but switching off the bend remedies these lock ups. they are very rare but they have occured in my experience. another advantage is that you can switch freely between programs while bends are engaged. in my experience multi-timbral synths will either lock up program changes with bends engaged. the roland jv-1010 does not have these type of problems.

to bring the negative to the table is that this will have to be considered whether or not this works for you. if this is your first synth and you intend to program this synth this is highly unrecommended. however if you are familiar with programming especially in roland terms ( those not familiar with the roland way of doing things can get confused as well as seasoned programmers) and can find compatible software to edit on your computer platform, then you should be fine. if you intend to use this as a preset machine (excels in this department) then you will be fine. this is not recommended if you do not have a decent midi controller (keyboard, wind synth, sequencer etc) also this is not recommended for a first bend if you are not familiar with circuit bending.. you will probally want to also be able to send program changes unless you will be dialing up patches on the panel of the jv-1010.. even though this is very intuitive interface there is a large patchbay with lots of routing possiblities available. alot of the best bends are discovered by patience and method and if you do not have much patience it will overwhelm you for sure. one thing to consider is that you will not be able to swap out boards. the current spectrasonics expansion board has been installed and there is some wiring applied to the board. the board works as stock with no bends activated however you will not be able to swap out the board for another. the unit functions perfectly and can be used normally in every otherway otherwise."
