"Rodney Orpheus from PreSonus gives us secret sneak-peek at a new completely FREE version of their celebrated Studio One Digital Audio Workstation for Mac and PC: Studio One Free.

Although there are some limitations to the functionality, Studio One Free has remarkable abilities - no limits on number of audio and MIDI tracks, a package of effects, realtime timestretching and pitchshifting, full automation, and their virtual instrument Presence is included with over 300MB of playable sounds and loops (and of course you can load your own loops and samples into the software). Best of all, it shares Studio One 2's crystal clear 32 bit sound engine.

It's a grown-up DAW, but easy as pie to use, and completely free of charge!
