Octatrack Pro Tip #1 - LFO Designer
YouTube Published on Jun 8, 2012 by ElektronHQ
"The LFO designer is used to control the filter affecting a sawtooth waveform sample. By using different parts and the part reload function, obtaining various bass line grooves is easy. The beat is made using the Machinedrum.

Octatrack Pro Tip #2 - Part Variations and Quantized Sampling
YouTube Published on Jun 15, 2012 by ElektronHQ
"The Octatrack has been loaded with 6 sampled Monomachine waveforms. By changing parts, the same pattern can take many different forms. The crossfader is used as a tool for making transitions. Some internal sampling will take place as well.

Octatrack Pro Tip #3 - Sampling and crossfader transitions
YouTube Published on Jun 21, 2012 by ElektronHQ
"A Machinedrum is being MIDI slaved to an Octatrack. The Octatrack samples the Machinedrum using one shot recorder trigs. The sampled loops are used for making smooth transitions when changing Machinedrum patterns.

Octatrack Pro Tip #4 - Controlling Slices With The Crossfader
YouTube Published on Jul 13, 2012 by ElektronHQ
"Two long waveforms each containing several sounds have been sliced. The crossfader controls which slices that will play. Different scenes affect the playback of the slices differently. By using this method, the sound of a pattern can change dramatically.

Octatrack Pro Tip #5 - Rearranging a sample
YouTube Published on Jul 26, 2012 by ElektronHQ
"SLICE MODE and CHROMATIC mode is used in real-time recording mode to make a rhythmic melody out of a guitar sample. Filtering is applied as well.

Octatrack Pro Tip #6 - Internal resampling for adding pattern variations
YouTube Published on Aug 10, 2012 by ElektronHQ
"A quantized track recorder is used to record the internal sounds. Track 5 plays back the
recorded sample and is pre-arranged with note trigs and parameter locks. The crossfader
fades in track 5 and fades out the other tracks. This can be used to add variations to a
pattern.

By taking advantage of the flexible audio engine of the Octatrack, sounds can be radically reshaped. This is demonstrated in this video. The same single cycle waveform sample has been used as the basis for all the sounds of the pattern."
Octatrack Pro Tip #8 - Remixing Loops with the Audio Editor
YouTube Published on Sep 7, 2012 by ElektronHQ
"Try it out for yourself! Download the Project files for this Pro-tip here:

The audio editor of the Octatrack makes it easy to remix loops. Features like slicing and the create random locks command are perfect for such tasks."
Octatrack Pro Tip #9 - Track Trigging

Tracks can be disconnected from the sequencer. This makes it possible to start and stop tracks individually, which can be used for live improvisations. The first eight [TRIG] keys trig disconnected tracks.
