"In response to a surge in interest, Subatomic Software has released a 20 minute video tutorial showing how to create an original synth from scratch using Audulus, the modular synth app for OS X available on the Mac App Store [App Store link].Using a node based music creation program, Audulus allows users to build synthesizers, design new sounds, or process audio. All with low latency real-time processing suitable for live performance.
Beginning with a blank canvas on a computer screen, developer and founder W. Taylor Holliday talks viewers through the process of synth creation. He adds oscillators, refines sounds, and adds modulation -- all graphically displayed-- to the point of the synth's completion. In the process he demonstrates some of the new features of Audulus 1.5.
