monofon | requiem

"No modular sounds this time, just pure Waldorf Blofeld! This one has been recorded some months ago, already. It was my original intention to use this as an introduction for a 20+ minutes berlin school style piece of music. And I still want to if I only could find a suitable sequence to transport the mood of the intro to the next level...

Then I stumbled across this video and found that it fits perfectly to the music or vice versa ;-) So this project has come to a happy end for the moment.

About the video:

This is one of many video screen tests Andy Warhol has produced in between 1964 and 1966. Here we have Edie Sedgwick, a tragic character, actress, photo model and one of Andy Warhols "superstars". She died in 1971 due to a barbiturate intoxication at the age of 28. She still is one of the iconic figures of pop and subculture of the late 60s.

I don't know if I am violating any copyrights. If I do so, please accept my honest excuses and get in contact with me."
