DIY Electronic Drum Pad Unit Prototype

"A few seconds of vid testing out a DIY drum pad unit my son and I built. And yes, you can hear the sticks hitting the pads - it was done in a hurry!!!"

via Neil Fellowes on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge:

"This'll make you smile - I wanted a basic electronic drum kit, but alas couldn't afford one (I take sympathy well), so I made one. Out of an old wardrobe, 8 table mats and gaffer tape. It works - eat yer heart out Roland. Usual piezo transducer triggers which are fed into an Alesis DM5 drum module - oh and I couldn't resist the cheesy Simmons sounds ;-) And before anyone says anything, I know you can hear the sticks on the pads (mats) - I did the video in a hurry."
