"Here is a demo of my more mobile/live setup. This demo includes a lot of stuff; a Clavia Nord Lead 3 rack doing the bass, Maschine MK1 disguised as a LinnDrum and Sonic Core's U-Know 007 doing the Juno 106-ish chords. Everything is mixed inside of Ableton Live. I am using Native Instrument's Passive EQ on the main bus, Enhanced EQ on each channel and the Vari-Comp also on the main.

The Nord Lead 3 is a new piece of kit of mine and I love it. People say it sounds too clean or sterile but, I don't think that is always a bad thing. It's hybrid FM/Subtractive sound engine lends itself well to sharp basslines, bell-like tones and evolving pads. The Maschine is loaded full of samples I took of my LinnDrum. I feel like Maschine is one of the best new tools for electronic musicians that has come around in a long, long time. It is very easy to jam on and is the perfect tool for live situations. I will be making more demos of Maschine for sure. U-Know 007 is a relatively old plug-in for the Sonic Core (formerly Creamware) Scope DSP system. Under most circumstances it seems to nail the 106's sound pretty well and as a bonus it is certainly more flexible.

The MIDI controllers are the Alesis Q25 and the Korg nanoKey2."
