You can find a recent demo of the Matrix-1000 which has the same synth engine of the Matrix-6R here. The Matrix-1000 requires an external editor to edit patches. The 6R is editable via the front panel. The 1000 does support editing via MIDI sysex so you can map an external programmer that supports sysex to various parameters on it. The Matrix-6 and 6R only allow this with the latest OS 2.13.
