Xaoc Moskwa 01 - random & wind

"A short, two piece demo of the wonderful XAOC Moskwa sequencer. Both parts are pretty unorthodox WRT using a sequencer, I guess. The first explores Moskwa's Random Play Mode, with it being clocked by Doepfer A-147 LFO (with the rate influenced by one of the noise outputs of the A-118, via attenuator). Doepfer A-105 filter used as an oscillator (though not at full self-oscillation, with the resonance influenced by the A-118 random output, via attenuator - hence some notes ring out longer than others). A-156 quantizer between Moskwa's CV Out and A-105's Frequency In. A-156 trigger output used as sound source for the A-105.

The second part also uses Moskwa's Random Play Mode, but at a very slow rate. No quantizer this time, Moskwa's Slew control almost fully clockwise. White noise as sound source for the A-105. Frequency of the A-105 influenced by a very slow sinus wave from A-147. Nice windy sounds.

Reverb from Ableton."

Update:

"Second demo of the XAOC Moskwa sequencer. This time it's used as a rhythm generator. Moskwa's CV out goes to the CV in of the Doepfer A-147 LFO (attenuator set at just before noon). Moskwa's Gate out goes to the Reset input of the A-147 (I'm not sure it's necessary though). A-147's square to the Audio In of the A-105 Lowpass Filter. A-147's ramp to the Trig in of the A-156 quantizer. A-118's white noise to the A-156 CV in. A-156's CV out to the A-105's Freq in. A-118 colored noise (via XAOC Warna's multiple, so as to send only positive voltage) to the second A-105's CV frequency in with the attenuator only slightly above full CCW (to add some grit to the sound). Reverb from Ableton. Enjoy."
