"Klang Werk:
Klang Werk is a high quality balanced (or “ring”) modulator with a number of built in features making it more versatile than the usual synth module. It’s more like an effect box, although it is right at home in any modular system. Klang Werk includes a voltage controlled sine to complex waveform carrier generator, a signal preamp, a signal envelope follower, and an output mix control.

Time Machine:
A balanced modulator takes two signals (“signal” and “carrier”) and multiplies them together, producing their sum and difference frequencies. The original signals are removed from the output. The result is often used to produce bell like clang tones. The world of the equally tempered scale seems to vanish, to be replaced by an alien sonic landscape filled with moments of unearthly beauty and savage cacophony.
Genuine BBD Analog Delay Line Technology for that "retro" sound.
Delays From 10 mS to 2 Seconds!
Bi-Phase Regeneration for Killer Flanging
Voltage Control of Most Parameters:

Darkstar Module:
This reissue of the Dark Star uses the same basic circuit and updates the design with expanded control ranges and CV inputs for the Noise Clock, Noise Filter, VCO and PWM. Use it as a standalone sound generator or interface it with a modular system for some truly wild sounds!
With the interest in chaos theory and fractals in the past few years, this unit provides an excellent means to explore the effects of chaotic (noise) modulation. The results cover quite a wide range from the haunting to the apocalyptic...

Frequency Divider:
Input a single waveform and get multiple divided outputs.
Single waveform conversion at virtually any input level and divisions with two divider chains
Divide by 1, 1.5, 2, and 3 with audio type mixer, selectable low pass filtering, Level control and Mix control with original signal
Second divider chain and rotary switch selects divisions 2 through 4096 with Reset Input and LED indicator
Square wave outputs up to 15V
On board access points for first divider chain and unused buffers for additional outputs
On board pots, off board rotary switch and jacks
3 RU high (5.25", 133.4mm) by 3" (76.2mm) wide; allow 5" depth. Compatible with Paia FracRak. Jacks: 1/8" (3.5mm). Panel is black anodized, with white lettering.
+/-12 to +/-15 V regulated power @ 15mA
There is no lower input frequency limit, so the control outputs from the second divider can be used as a clock divider or for basic event sequencing applications.
The Frequency Divider is typically used for sub octave enhancement of VCO waveforms and tracks these without glitches. It can also be hooked up to a keyboard audio output with somewhat less stable tracking depending on the complexity and animation of the waveform. Interesting, wild sounding fuzz like events can appear at the end of the note decay and between notes if a second key is played before the first is released. Polyphony is not supported, although some intervals such as octaves process OK. Originally, the FD was described as a "digital fuzz for keyboards" and that might help describe the general sound.
For DIYers there are provisions to add extra outputs as desired. For instance, the rotary switch can be duplicated and wired in parallel as all the second divider outputs are simultaneously available.
Mixer Processor:
Introduction
The Blacet Mixer/Processor is a DC-coupled mixer suitable for both audio and CV mixing. Each input is center-off with plus and minus phase control. The outputs may be level shifted with a variable +5V to -5V bias control. Two separate sections are included: a three input section and a one input section. LEDs on the output indicate plus and minus voltages or are both lit in the presence of AC.
The Mixer/Processor is carefully designed for optimum, stable CV mixing as well as low distortion, low noise audio mixing. CV mixing with the unit allows modulating any voltage controlled module with a highly flexible mix of CV sources such as LFO’s, ADSRs, envelope followers, MIDI to CV convertors, CV pedals, etc. Audio mixing with the 2040 allows precise phase control of the input signals resulting in strikingly different sounds unavailable with common uni-phase mixers. The bias control allows easy “overdriving” to down line processors."
