Passive Ring Modulated Dixie Fun Time Circus

Published on Jan 22, 2013 matt davis·30 videos

"A rough video to feature my new homemade DIY eurorack module containing three passive tools (i.e. non-powered): a ring modulator, an OR gate (not used here) and a 4-way multiple. I was wowed by the modulation power of this extremely simple but highly effective (and great sounding!) analog circuit.

The top dixie is the pulse wave input, the bottom the carrier sine wave. First is just an example of different ranges between the two dixies with nothing but ring modulation.

Second, the multiple is used to send a signal from the Turing Machine random looping sequencer to the modulation inputs of both dixes."
