"A wonderful sounding synth. Whether its cutting leads, punchy basses, sweeping pads, weird sound effects or complex modulating textures, this synth has it all.

Arp included a load of original features in the Odyssey that were ahead of its time, which gives a lot of scope for creative and interesting programming.

This version is the original 2800 black face model, released between 75-76. The 2800 was the only model with the 12db filter, which gives that unique early Odyssey sound.

Some of the features of the Arp Odyssey 2800:

2 VCOs with square, saw, pulse waveforms and PWM (can be modulated by sine LFO or ADSR). You also have white/pink noise. They have included Oscillator sync (modulated by sample & hold, ADSR, square/saw LFO).

Filter on the 2800 is the 4023 12db version with 2 pole bi quad design with low pass output. You have high pass and resonant low pass filters that can be used in series. Can be modulated by sine LFO, S&H, ring mod, ADSR, AR, keyboard tracking.

LFO has sine/square/sample and hold.

2 envelopes: ADSR and and AR. These can be assigned wherever you want.

Portamento.

Transpose switch: up or down 2 octaves."
