"The Eventide PitchFactor is pretty amazing on monophonic sources. It can turn a simple melody into a soundscape, or add harmonies, chorus effects, huge reverb, pitched echoes, turn one note into a chord, track monophonic vocals/guitar/whatever and turn it into a synth, and more. It's unique.
