Gameboy Advance MIDI Synthesizer chiptune (Spritesmod) First test

"Just started messing around with this. By no means is this an awesome song.

Spritesmod has an 8-track sequencer and records 4 bars. There are 5 MIDI channels:
Channel 1: Duophonic synth
Channe 2: (Forgot)
Channel 3: Sweeping synth
Channel 4: Polyphonic synth
Channel 10: Drum kit... which is basically just noise generation.

Sadly, I can't hook this up to a legitimate sequencer because it doesn't play notes correctly. I tried hooking it up to my Spectralis and my MC-808 and both failed to play back properly. Notes would get stuck and I believe it only really likes an input of 1 MIDI message at a time. I might get better use out of this sequencing one part at a time and recording that and then multitracking it. It could also be that MIDI sequencers are sending a lot of time events which clog the cable... Just a thought I suppose.

More (and hopefully better) to come!"
