The manufacturer OCTAVE was based in New York. The compnay
existed 1976-1979 and produced this synth, The Kitten, and a bigger one, The Cat. Then Octave merged with Plateau and produced as Octave-Plateau the Voyetra 8 -- the first polyphonic VCO-synth-expander.
The Kitten and The Cat are know for their ROUGH sound.
