"This is a truly vintage Eko Tiger manual combo organ/keyboard. This instrument was made in 1969 (dated inside of the cabinet) and is a fully functional keyboard with all features working. It contains two internal speakers, but they are just for quick monitoring - the keyboard fully blossom when connected to a serious amp and your imagination is the limit when it is run via modern effects, pedals and the means of sound enhancement, like Leslie speakers.
The features are controlled by six colored Hammond drowbar alike switches - they are only on/off switches for the 'mellow, reed, brass, flute, bass chorus & vibrato' functions. The bass volume and tone controls add color and depth to all the functions.
The keyboard/synth is easy to carry with a convenient handle - it weights 36 lb.
The keyboard is in excellent visual condition with no signs of use, it is very clean inside and outside - it looks like it was not used and stored for many years.
It comes with a keyboard cover and AC cord.

ReplyDeleteI found two Eko Tigers this week: one New Tiger 49 made in 1978, portable in a red case & working perfectly, and a Tiger Junior (1967) which looks a lot like your model. unfortunately the Junior doesn't work, but that seems to be a problem with the powersupply, probably the capacitors.
Both have an earphone output. Haven't tried this yet myself, but usually that's quite a bit louder than line level. How's that work on your Tiger? An output can be tamed quite easily and completely reversible of course, so I'm hoping to use it through my array of tube amps / vintage Leslie (type 122! yay!), wah-pedals etc etc :-)
There's a lot of 'cheese' in these little organs, and I happen to love cheese ;-)

ReplyDeletei have just bought an Eko tiger 3000, and tried to connect it to a guitar 15w amp, and i have no sound whatever..just some noise...if these above are speaker, they don't work either.
i didn't get the pedal- could it be that the pedal is for volume, and that maybe the pedal minimized the volume, and without can't be thurn up again??
i have no clue, only power lamp is ok, other i don't know..but i really would like to fix it...
with elka keyboard no problem at all..please of nyone has some advice, i would appreciate it very much..
