Quick Note on NAMM Posts

For those of you that have checked in today you might have noticed that new NAMM posts are going up with the content in the post vs. directing you to the original announcement post for the particular bit of gear. This is deliberate. I thought I'd give you some background on how I like to cover NAMM and a couple of tips on how to find what you are interested in on the site.

As you know we typically get product teasers and leaks the week or so leading up to NAMM. I like to capture the experience from discovery to NAMM floor demo in an individual post. This will give us a historical sense of how new gear came to us. By the second day of NAMM, the single posts get to be a bit long and the gist of that experience has been captured. From that point it's just new demos. As for new demos, I like to capture them even if they seem to be repetitive because they sometimes give you a different angle depending on the presenter, and you get a sense of how the show and presentations evolve.

As for finding what you want, use the top left Blogger search box and sort by date. Use terms that are unique if available. For example search for Rytm for the new Elektron Analog Rytm. You can also filter posts by channels at the bottom of posts when one comes up. You'll get other random stuff, but you'll likely find what you are looking for.

Note: comments that insult people will be removed. Critique on gear is allowed. Do not ask if listings are still available. Click through auction links to check yourself. Posts and pics remain for historical purposes. To reduce spam, comments for posts older than one week are not displayed until approved (usually same day).
