Studio Electronics Omega 8 Synthesizer

"Fully loaded with 8X discrete voice boards, 100% working and sounding INCREDIBLE!

This Omega 8 has the maximum 8 voice boards installed, and is running OS 2.AC software which is the ideal "CS friendly" OS for adding CS80 filter modules later. Of course you can add any combination of Studio Electronics' CS80, ARP2600 and/or Roland 303 filter modules to your liking.

Currently in this configuration it has 8X Moog and 8X SEM-style multi-mode filters present.

This is a later unit with serial number in the 13XX range, which features the latest Omega front panel graphics but more importantly benefits from better hardware mounting support/cushioning of the voice boards (you may be able to see the whitish plastic mounting tray with grooves that the voice boards rest in; earlier Omegas don't have this recommended upgrade).

Also, Greg St. Regis from SE told me that the later serial number means that these voice boards can be upgraded to full CODE status (sine wave and added filter control) for $100 LESS than older boards. This is a great consideration if you are on the fence about adding CODE features later!

So as far as Omega 8 go, THIS is the ideal stock unit to start with..."
