VGM #12 - Map Theme (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)

Yoshi's Island is one of my favorite games. I originally came up with the idea for this song for a competition, but I was three weeks late in getting the song done. But, I am still really happy with my arrangement, so here it is!
I really wanted to highlight the way the original built off of layering, while really making the song my own. This time I go a little more off the books, as far as the arrangement is concerned, channeling the funky fun of soul music. All while having a heck of a lot of fun with my doodads and gadgets. I hope you enjoy!
Also, I really wanted to switch things up and use my Tempest as a sequenced synth and use the analog 4 as the drummer. It was really interesting, but I gotta say, I love the live play accessibility of the Tempest. The Analog 4 is super powerful, but its mostly a device you do all of your leg work before performing. Anyways. Yeah."
