"Something in the making.... very eaaaarly stage :) this is only a first test, proof of concept for reading original CMI Voice files, using the same variable sample rate technology found in the Fairlight CMI IIx. This will be improved!
This particular sampling technique is what gives the sound a particular gritty sound.
The final SamPLIGHT VST project should have implemented 8 voices cards with analog VCF and VCA, loop point reading and of course sampling capabilities, especially tailored for that vintage gritty sound we all love :)
THIS WILL BE NOT a complete fairlight system emulation, there won't be no Mode 1 Synthesis. The goal is to make a sampler to the original specs of a Fairlight CMI with the ability to import/export original Fairlight II, IIx Voice Files."
