Madrona Labs Soundplanes Available with Educational Software Pricing

via Madrona Labs

"Soundplanes are available!

I always try to refine the Soundplane design and production process, and I can say that the third run of Soundplanes has turned out to be the best one yet. I allowed for a 10% failure rate of finished main circuit boards, building 30 complete boards and only selling 27. Happily, we had a 0% failure rate and every board has tested OK. So, I have an extra instrument to offer right now and a couple more special builds waiting in the wings.

If you visit the web site, you can see Soundplane #0073, which is one of the darker-colored cherry instruments from the third run. It's for sale at $1,895, for immediate shipping. If you would like to order it, please reply with your intent to this email, and I'll send a money request to you via PayPal. And do please take note of the ordering info at http://madronalabs.com/soundplane about shipping and taxes, especially if you are outside the USA.

There is also one instrument for sale on the forums. This one is in the USA.

If you want a Soundplane, but miss out on one of these, please keep in touch. I have a couple of special one-of-a-kind walnut models on the bench, and I'm working on them when my brain gets too tired of doing software. I’ll probably have these for sale next month. After that, the next chance to get an instrument will be when I build another run, probably in the Spring.

Educational discounts

Thanks to some new work on the web site I'm happy to announce that I can offer educational discounts for software more easily using coupon codes. A 50% discount on all Madrona Labs software is available for any person currently enrolled in or teaching school or university. For more details, and ordering instructions, please see the web site.

Aalto progress

Aalto 1.6 has been a while in coming, and I appreciate your patience. I’ve been busy rebuilding some of my foundations in order to make things smoother going forward. This really obsessive work is out of the way, and I'm happy to say that it produced very obvious improvements in “teh snappy.” I look forward to sending this out within a couple of weeks, and getting to work on the Next Big Thing.

Until next time,
Randy"
