ARP Odyssey: filters (part 2)

Published on Apr 4, 2015 QuirqUK

"Demonstration of the sound and functionality of an ARP Odyssey II synthesizer from the 1970s, concluding the look at the filters.

This video finishes the exploration of the capabilities of the low-pass voltage-controlled filter (VCF), then looks at the non-voltage-controlled high-pass filter and briefly touches on the two envelope generators.

Being a model 2811 Odyssey II, the filter is the 4075, ARP-design (i.e. non-patent infringing) 4-pole type.

The Odyssey is recorded direct with no pre- or post-processing."
