ElasticDrums - IK iRig Pads demo2

Note how he switches editable parameters by pressing a pad; the slider then edits a different parameter. Curious how that's set up. Usually a slider sends out a message via a specific MIDI CC or sysex message. Pressing the pad either changes it or ElasticDrums registers the pad message and then applies the slider message to the next parameter, which makes you wonder what would happen if you had an external sequencer driving ElasticDrums while you made the change on iRig Pads.
