"This is one amazing and RARE device. it can interface with other Banana I/O modular synths and can be used in a number of different configurations.
The wooded touch plates are very responsive and the ribbon strip is solid and smooth to the touch.

About this device.

7 VCO analog Banana I/O modular synth Qin has a single pressure sensitive ribbon, with pressure controlling the timber - the harder you press, more “clean” the timber will be, which is somewhat similar to the response of an acoustic stringed instrument - if you loose the pressure, the strings will hit the frets and buzz.
The position on the ribbon controls pitch, with practice, you can play the Sidrassi as any fretless instrument, with vibrato and pitch sliding!

For pitch setting of each voice, I use high quality 10 turn potentiometers and lockable knobs. So you can set the pitch relations of each voice with total precision.

Signals on the patch bay are : gesture output, squarewave output, FM input, glitch input.

I’ve built a few pieces of this and each one is a bit different.
This is one of my most welcomed series of works.

Here is an album with the 1st Sidrassi Qin as the solely sound source. By Asteroid Anxiety"
