Live from the subtractiveLAB - Episode 10

Published on May 11, 2015 Stephen Hummel

"The tenth video in the live, in-studio performance series from subtractiveLAD / Stephen Hummel.

I recently received some of my analogue gear back from servicing (mostly internal clean-up stuff) and was excited to record with it all again. My Korg EX-800 actually came back with both the 'Moogslayer' and the filter (FM) mods - I just love how much the synth has opened up with these mods!

In this performance, I am using the Akai MPC Studio as the primary controller/sequencer/clock for most of the instruments. The solos you see me performing on the MPC are actually the Minitaur and the Minibrute being controlled via MIDI.

Synths featured:

Arturia Minibrute
DSI Evolver
Korg Monotribe
Moog Minitaur
Yamaha CS-10
Korg EX-800 (with mods)
Arturia Moog Modular (software)
Flute sample (in MPC)

Hardware effects:

Boss Phase Shifter PH-3
Mooer Ana Echo
Boss / Roland Space Echo RE-20
Line-6 Verbzilla
Korg Kaoss Pad Mini

Guitar:

Fender Jaguar with E-Bow and slide

Pedal Board (effects used in this performance):

Boss Volume Pedal
Keeley Compressor
Walrus Audio Descent reverb

Amp:

Fender Hot Rod Deluxe"
