via the seller: "This is a 1 of a Kind 'Theresynthesizer' or combination Theremin Synthesizer. It was built by a former National High Magnetic Field Laboratory Electronic Engineer Designer who was quite gifted. He created quite a few unique devices before his passing a few years ago. There are a lot of switches and connections associated with this piece of equipment and I'd be lying if I said I knew what everyone of them did. One thing is very neat that I noticed. When you enjoy the Theremin portion of this creation, the LED lights on top react to the signal and illuminate back and forth. Very cool. The power supply is separate from the main unit as is the sawtooth generator. The cabinet is constructed of metal and plexiglass and is a physical masterpiece.
