"Ciat-Lonbarde Cocoquantus from the days when Peter Blasser was still building his incredible instruments completely by hand, as much works of art as they are capable instruments.

This gorgeous unit is from the final production in the "brass screws" era and more than any other C-L instrument, the Cocoquantus makes it clear why Peter took this approach: the screws are extremely sensitive to the touch via skin capacitance, and connections can be established and the instrument programmed simply by tapping or touching a few screws at once. Wonderfully responsive leading to hours of sonic exploration with this unique and incredibly powerful device.

Two looping delay units (made of all discrete parts) provide the ability to capture, repitch, stretch, compress and otherwise time-mangle your audio (three inputs are provided to each delay, an XLR microphone with preamp, line level, and synth level)..... Assignable-curve Dolby filters give the ability to cut or mute either delay line via voltage or input control. Functions to flip/skip and reverse audio are all available as patch points, as is overall speed of each delay.

Sitting between the two delay lines is the quantussy oscillator device. Five interactive oscillators (with modulation inputs and multi-waveform outputs) modulate each other in ways that can be reordered and controlled in real time, and overall speed and chaos is available from two master control knobs. This quantussy device provides the coco-pilot with numerous interesting voltage patterns, perfect for modulating the delay and audio parameters of the delay lines.

Used this way the Cocoquantus provides an incredibly unique and powerful way to interact with your audio - it can reorder, re-shape, re-contextualize, it can mangle beyond all recognition. It can find voices and patterns in your inputs that would have remained undiscovered.

It's a mistake to think of the Cocoquantus as simply a fancy pair of audio loopers. It's better to think of this an an instrument that is controlled by incoming and sampled audio.

This one is hard to part with. It's beautiful and a joy to interact with, and a wonderful piece of art from the early days of Ciat-Lonbarse. It is in nearly mint condition, fully functional and includes a power supply. You will love it."
