4ms Spectral Multiband Resonator Beat Sync Jam

Published on Jul 28, 2015 4mspedals

"Here we're using just an iPod and mp3 file to control the entire modular system. The drums sounds are all from modules being triggered by the Spectral, and the bassline is part of the mp3 file.

A cable sends audio directly to the SMR from the iPod, where it's split into bands. Triggers are derived from each individual audio frequency band, which are then sent to drum modules to create an entire set based around the structure of one audio file!

You can drastically and dynamically remix tracks this way. Using as much or as little of the original sound as desired, you can cut and filter precise sections of the sound, all the while using the CV equivalent of each band to control and beat sync your modular system!"
