"The Deep Bass Nine was originally marketed as a Roland TB303 clone (it was the first of the breed) but in fact it deserves to be seen as a classic in its own right. As you'd expect it sounds decidedly Roland-like (think SH-101 as much as 303) and as the name implies it has a "big bottom". Unlike the Roland classics it's got good MIDI control of everything you need to make properly naughty basslines.

What you might not expect of the DB9 is just how good it sounds. Unlike most contemporary and modern analogue synths this is not just another "me-too" squelch box, it sounds proper..."
