"Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 original vintage analog polyphonic synthesizer. This is a Revision 2 board that has been upgraded to Revision 3 specifications, including MIDI added and memory banks upgraded to the full 128 offered in later revisions. Cosmetically it is in Excellent Condition. There is a protective plastic cover on the face which has kept the graphics perfect and helps keep dust from getting inside the board. Corners are all great as shown in photos.
Functionally it is great with the only issue being that a few of the keys 'stutter' sometimes when pressed. I'm told this is an indicator that the key bed or contact wires need cleaning. I've had this in my studio since I bought from the original owner about 3 years ago, but have not used it much for the past year so I can see that. No other known issues. But I am not an expert on these machines and I don't want to dig into it myself so I am selling it 'as is'. Like all these machines the tuning drifts when on for awhile and that is why the automatic TUNE button is right on front in this revision."
