"For sale is this vintage (early 70s) Logan String Melody. This is the much rarer Mark One model, and is also the only example I've ever seen which isn't built into its own flight case, which leads me to believe that it's probably one of the very first ones made.It's not in fantastic visual condition, with dings and scuffs all over it, and the metal plate on the control panel peeling away, but it's complete and it sounds gorgeous. There's plenty of information and demos available elsewhere online if you want to hear it for yourself.
Functionally the only two faults to mention are that the low G key doesn't sound the Perc., Bass or Cello, but still sounds with Viola and Violin added to the mix, and also the very top C key doesn't sound at all. These are both likely to be dirty contacts but I've never bothered looking into it any further as it's never caused me any problems.
Selling only due to lack of space and my recent purchase of a Korg PE-2000, which has rendered the Logan somewhat obsolete. I'd rather let it go and let someone else get some use out of it."
