Roland Malekko System 500 noodles

Published on Dec 30, 2015 Muff Wiggler

"Another basic subtractive patch intended as an example of what the System 500 sounds like doing basic subtractive things. I included all the in between "setting up" the patch bits so you can hear all the little tweaks. Really it's just jamming though. nothing was planned. I found a sound i liked and then just changed sequencer speed, modulations etc.

the patch is oscillator to filter to VCA and the delay is multed from the VCA and has its own channel on the Sputnik mixer and gets taken out of the mix here or there. it's a short delay setting so is more of a wobbly chorus type sound when being modulated by internal LFO.

sequencer is the Xoac Moskwa 8 step sequencer running in a pendulum mode so it goes start to end and end to start and on and on. it triggers the System 500 envelopes and also has portamento that finds its way into the sequencer now and then."
