  1. This was the first synth I ever touched, and had absolutely no clue about what it was. I was about 19/20 when I first encountered it, and was more interested in pretending that I was Steve Vai. I was just starting to get into NIN, and didn't know the thing about "synthesizers" as there were no (and still are no) local music shops that stock synths where I live. As far as I knew, keyboards made sounds. I was simply never exposed to these things.

Retrospectively, had I known then what I know now I would have tossed the guitars and bought this instead. A 16 voice analog synth? Light years beyond anything else that was out at the time. Most manufacturers were focusing on VST and DAWs at the time cause computers were finally becoming commonplace now that there was thing called "Internet".

I got to toy with one briefly at Muff Wigglers in Portland when my wife and I went on vacation this past summer. Really, beautiful synth.
