The videoclip for the song "Doom Room" by the duo Black Shape comes from a collaboration between painter Matteo Giampaglia and graphic designer Piero Fragola. It is a work completely hand-drawn and animated digitally.
The dexterity and the dirty mark of the real drawing rise on the rhythms and the notes of the track.
The subject is a lysergic journey: the protagonist is a fictional character, whose traits are not defined (is he a human? or a little alien?). At the end of his travel he will find himself, ironically. His nightmares set, in the darkness of reason and civilization, a feature of neglect and global pollution. The deformed imagery of the drawings deals with those elements that apparently seem to be negative, such as the monsters, that instead have the positive function of cleaning the environment.

Il videoclip del brano "Doom Room" del duo Black Shape nasce dalla collaborazione tra il pittore Matteo Giampaglia e il graphic designer Piero Fragola. Si tratta di un lavoro interamente disegnato a mano ed animato attraverso tecnologie digitali di montaggio.
La manualità e il tratto sporco del disegno prendono vita sui ritmi e le note del brano.
Il soggetto è un viaggio lisergico: il protagonista è un personaggio inventato, dai tratti non definiti (un umano? un piccolo alieno?). Alla fine del suo viaggio ritroverà se stesso, ironicamente. I suoi incubi collocano nel buio della ragione e della civiltà una connotazione di degrado e inquinamento globale. L'immaginario deformato dei disegni gioca su quegli elementi che apparentemente sembravano negativi, i mostri, i quali possiedono invece la funzione positiva di pulire l'ambiente.
Allucinazione e tenerezza in un delirio in bianco e nero.
