Sound Effect: North Dakota Plains

Published on Apr 28, 2016 SGE

"My attempt at a sound effect scene: The sounds a person might hear while sitting on a porch in North Dakota during wind-swept conditions. The 'wind' is 2 noise voices from the PerFourmer, panned left and right so they sweep around. The 'wind chimes' are a PerFourmer square wave sequenced by the Doepfer MAQ, running through a Modcan Dual Frequency Shifter (which gives it the windchime tube sound) then through a clocked delay from the Disting euro module.

Every now and then there is a 'hawk' screeching in the distance. This 'hawk' is a square wave FM'd by a fast S/H LFO. It also goes through an Echorec pedal delay.

All the sounds go through an Eventide Space for some ambience."
