"This vintage beautiful has been fully restored to it's exact original specs by the skillful hands of the guys over at This Old Synth in San Jose, California. We've already killed hours here sitting and getting some amazing sounds out of it and as sad as it makes us, we have a job to do and this synth needs to go out into the world and be recorded in all it's analog splendor.

The 37 full-sized keys are framed by wooden side panels, which exhibit a bit of wear and tear, but they have great character as you'll see from the images we've included. The chassis is a tabletop style design, which sits about 20"s deep and 6"s high, so only slightly larger than your typical tabletop keyboard synth. It was released in 1976 and this duophonic synth has two voltage controlled oscillators, 24 db lowpass filter, sample and hold and 7 waveforms which can be mixed simultaneously and both ADSR and AR envelopes in the "transient generator" section. Many have compared it to the ARP Odyssey and while there are certainly many many similarities, The Cat has it's own distinct character and we're very excited to be able to offer an original SRM mod to the public!"
