maasijam volcasession #04 - Volca (Bass, Keys, Sample, FM), Ambient improvisation

Published on Jan 1, 2017 maasijam

"All sounds coming from the KORG Volcas (Bass, Keys, FM, Sample) . I only use the internal stepsequencer of the volcas. For each volca there is an "External Instruments" track in Ableton Live - so I can switch between them with the Launch Controll XL. Each track has an arpeggiator, beat repeater, reverb and delay, which I can control via Launch Control and MPK. Ableton Live sends MIDI Clock to the volcas (Splitted by the MIDI Merger).

Setup:
Ableton Live 9
Korg Volca Keys
Korg Volca Sample
Korg Volca Bass
Korg Volca FM
Launch Control XL
Akai MPK Mini
ValhallaRoom (I love it)
NI Replika (Delay)
MIDI Merger Miditemp PMM-88
DIY Arduino MIDI Converter (for triggering volca sample with the mpk)
Steinberg UR-44

Recorded directly on a Tascam DR07 MK2."
