In case anyone was wondering if beatniks used stylophones, apparently the Beatnik movement ended in the mid 60s and the Stylophone was invented in 1967 by Brian Jarvis, and entered production in 1968. Maybe Brian was a beatnik. :)According to wikipedia: "Elements of the beatnik trope included pseudo-intellectualism, drug use, and a cartoonish depiction of real-life people along with the spiritual quest of Jack Kerouac's autobiographical fiction."
