During the whole future proofing process, special care has been taken to retain the integrity and uniqueness of this machine.
It is increasingly rare to find anything like this in this kind of condition, for sale.
Highlights of the future proofing:
* All Tantalum and electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with high quality
capacitors on all the circuit boards (including, of course, the power supply
and local power regulators)
* All power supply, local power regulators and pitch related trimmers have
been replaced with high quality multi (25) turn trimmers
* Meticulous calibration to ensure perfect pitch over a wide musical range
* All new bushings for the Pratt-Read keyboard assembly
* Deep cleaning of all knobs, button, switches and panels
* Lubrication of all potentiometers and switches
* New Programmer backup battery. The previous battery was still
outputting a respectable 3 Volts and it was from February 1983!
Some general notes:
* The original lid is not included in the sale
* The 4-voice runs on 117 VAC and draws approximately 25Watts @ “120 Volt”
