"This rare EDP Wasp synth is in remarkable condition for it's age and has had only one owner from new. Bought from Rod Argent's Keyboards in the late '70s the only sign of wear and tear is the slight loss of colour on a couple of the 'keys'. The small rubber feet on the rear of the casing have been replaced by larger ones, but otherwise it's completely original and plays perfectly, either through the internal speaker or through an amp. The battery bay (yes it can be powered by C type batteries) is clean as I have never used batteries in it. Included with the synth is the original instruction booklet (with humorous cartoons!), and an equally rare original Wasp pin badge. I'm also including a power supply, not the original, but one that I know works with the Wasp - some don't! If you're looking at this you probably already know all about the Wasp, but if not here's some spec:

Serial number: 001465

· Polyphony: Monophonic (only one note at a time)

· Oscillators: 2 digitally controlled analogue oscillators and one white noise generator. Osc 2 has fine pitch control

· Osc Waveforms: Switchable between ramp, pulse width (osc 1 only - width % = 10 - 50), square (osc 2 only)

· LFO - 1 LFO with sine, ramp, sawtooth, square waveforms plus noise to modulate the VCO and VCF; sample-and-hold - variable amount to each with both positive and negative values. LFO reaches into audible spectrum

· Filter - VCF (voltage controlled filter) switchable between 12 dB/oct lowpass, highpass, and 6 dB/oct bandpass all with resonance (Q) with control envelope controls (attack, decay & unusual release which ranges from repeat to delay)

· Keyboard - 25 capacitive non-moving touch keys

· Control - EDP-Link IN/OUT (proprietary digital sockets for linking to another Wasp synth or the Spider sequencer).

Manufactured - 1978 - 1981"
